Sistercare Trains DV Professionals from The Republic of Kosovo

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is an international Public Health, Social Justice, and Human Rights Issue.
The State Department in conjunction with the Columbia Council for Internationals requested a training from Sistercare for five professionals from Kosovo on the topic of domestic violence. Professionals from the Republic of Kosovo included a judge, the executive director of a “Safe House,” the chief executive officer for gender equality, a state prosecutor, and a DV investigator/police officer. The Director of Community Clinical & Educational Services invited some of the Sistercare staff to assist her in educating the visitors about our legal and court advocacy services, shelter services, and our adult and children’s trauma-informed clinical services.
